This year Summer Series venues have been placed into weekend blocks. To save on fuel and travelling. Round 1 and Round 2 are in Wales at Tenby Bay, Pembrokeshire and Porthcawl, S Wales

The competition is on beach, west of St Catherines Island towards the golf course area via Battery Road
It is NOT on the main town beach.
START TIME: 12 Noon
(low tide 10:25hrs - high tide 16:23 hrs)

There will be a warm up session and induction for those rowers new to surfboat racing - approx. 2 hours before the race start time depending on weather. We will set the turn cans during this period. There is a flexibility with this time, racing should be quick and be 2-3 hrs in total.
The only tractor or vehicle to be used on the beach will be the Tenby SLSC tractor and will be used to get boats on and off the beach. Boats will rally from 10 am and be towed on to the beach.
Boats are to be stacked at the rear of the car park and not to cause an obstruction in the car park. Please be patient. There are strict rules about vehicles on the beach hence the provision of the tractor.
At the end of the competition boats to be packed up and stacked at the same place at the rear of the car park.
Access to the beach is via battery road and is narrow with a tight turn. Please take care.
PARKING: Parking for all competitors is available and is pay and display. A marshalling area for boats will be available from 10 am.
TOWING ON BEACH: Only the towing tractor is allowed on the beach
ACCOMODATION:
There is plenty of camping available locally for those teams travelling on the friday evening
PARTY: After the Tenby event, boats are packed up and we head for Porthcawl in S Wales,
Saturday evening function- 30 mins from the porthcawl venue.
You are invited to join Llantwit Major SLSC at the beach for a BBQ and an acoustic band session. There will be a small fee and food will be available to purchase as well as the usual bar facilities.
